How do I earn this bonus?
- Open a new Premium Savings Account by September 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET for the cash bonus and enter promo code SAVING26 at account opening. If you also want the separate 4.00% promotional APY, its listed enrollment deadline is 8:45 p.m. ET that day.
- Deposit at least $20,000 in qualifying net-new funds during the first 30 days after opening.
- From day 31, maintain the required average daily balance for the next 45 days. Keep the account open and in good standing through payment.
What counts—and what doesn’t.
Qualifying activity
- Net-new funds from outside Morgan Stanley Private Bank and its affiliates, including transfers from another bank, less funds withdrawn and sent outside the bank.
Excluded or unsafe to assume
- Transfers from E*TRADE/Morgan Stanley Private Bank checking, Max-Rate Checking, or affiliated accounts. Withdrawals sent outside the bank reduce net-new funds; withdrawn credited interest also counts as an outflow.
The $20,000 must be net new and the maintenance test uses an average daily balance. A withdrawal can reduce qualification even when the account once showed $20,000. The separate APY offer has an earlier same-day enrollment cutoff than the cash bonus.
Who is eligible for this offer?
Only a new Premium Savings Account qualifies. Checking, Max-Rate Checking, credit-line, IRA, and brokerage accounts are excluded. Non-U.S. residents and residents where the offer is invalid are excluded. One PSA cash-bonus offer may be active at a time, and each customer has a lifetime maximum of two new-PSA cash-bonus offers.
The promotional code is intended for single use. The offer cannot be combined with another PSA cash-bonus offer, and the bank may disqualify misuse or gaming.
U.S. savings offer; confirm availability for your address with the issuer. Account approval and bonus eligibility are separate decisions.
What fees could reduce the bonus?
No monthly account fee. Other account or service charges may apply. The 4.00% promotional APY is separate from the cash bonus and, for eligible accounts, is fixed for six months from opening before reverting to the variable standard APY. Its enrollment closes earlier on September 30; verify both current terms and the rate and fee schedule before opening.
The 4.00% promotional APY is a separate offer for a new Premium Savings Account opened by September 30, 2026 at 8:45 p.m. ET; the $400 cash-bonus enrollment terms list September 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET. The boosted APY starts at account opening and is fixed for six months under the listed terms, then reverts to the variable standard APY. The promotional rate has its own maximum-balance and account-standing rules, and E*TRADE reserves the right to modify or end the offer. Confirm both live terms before opening.
When does the qualification clock start?
Account opening starts a 30-day deposit period. The 45-day average-balance maintenance period begins on day 31.
When should the bonus arrive?
Within 30 days after the maintenance period, or up to 105 days after opening, with the account open and in good standing.
A concrete example
Planning example: deposit $20,000 from an outside bank within 30 days, then avoid outflows that would pull the average below $20,000 during days 31–75. Payment can take until day 105.
