How do I earn this bonus?

  1. Check every signer’s history, then use the Virtual Wallet application link on PNC’s promotion page by January 7, 2027. For a branch opening, obtain the promotion coupon first.
  2. Receive at least $500 of qualifying income deposits into Spend within 60 days of opening.
  3. Keep this product open while waiting 60–90 days after qualification for payment. Check each statement for fees.

What counts—and what doesn’t.

Qualifying activity

  • Recurring pay, pension, Social Security or other regular income sent electronically by an employer or outside agency into the Spend account.

Excluded or unsafe to assume

  • Transfers between accounts, person-to-person payments, wires, credit-card cash advances, and deposits by branch, ATM, mobile device or mail.
The easy-to-miss detail

Deposits must reach Spend. Funding Reserve or Growth does not satisfy the promotion. Meeting the bonus target once does not guarantee ongoing monthly fee waivers.

Who is eligible for this offer?

You and any other signer must have no existing PNC consumer checking account and no account closed within the past 12 months. The promotion also excludes a primary signer on a consumer checking account that received a PNC bonus in the past 24 months.

Only one account qualifies when accounts share the same signers. Trust, estate and other specialty-titled accounts are excluded. Confirm every signer’s account and bonus history with PNC; do not assume a joint account creates another bonus.

Offers may vary by market. Confirm the offer shown for your address before applying. Account approval and bonus eligibility are separate.

What fees could reduce the bonus?

The $7 monthly charge can be waived with a $500 combined average monthly Spend/Reserve balance or $500 in qualifying monthly deposits to Spend. Age 62+ and eligible PNC-employee waivers also exist. Opening online requires no initial deposit; otherwise the minimum is $25. Optional paper statements and other services may cost extra; read the fee schedule.

When does the qualification clock start?

The 60-day deposit window starts when you open the account, not when the first paycheck arrives.

When should the bonus arrive?

The reward is credited 60–90 days after all conditions are met. Keep the eligible account open through payment.

A concrete example

Hypothetical: two qualifying $250 pay deposits into Spend within 60 days total $500. A $500 transfer from your other bank does not qualify.

Timing and availability

Open by January 7, 2027. This is a dated offer snapshot. Confirm that the promotion is still available before opening an account.

Compare the other PNC option

These are alternative products, not two bonuses to stack. Compare the deposit target and ongoing fee before choosing.

YOUR BONUS PLAN

Keep the terms. Track the steps.

Save this version of our summary with your dates and checklist. A later offer update will not rewrite your plan. Keep the official agreement and enrollment confirmation separately.

Your completion checklist.

Checkmarks are your notes, not confirmation from the issuer. Save a plan above to keep them with a specific offer summary.

Keep the terms with your checklist.

Save the official offer terms and your enrollment confirmation. Record the exact start date, qualifying activity, deadline, and expected payout. Check the issuer’s full account agreement for account-standing, holding-period, and early-closure conditions; this summary does not establish that there are none.

Keep the selected product and the eligible account open through payout. Switching products can change eligibility and the reward. Check the account agreement before closing; this guide does not establish that no early-closure conditions apply.

If the bonus does not arrive

Wait through the stated payout window, then ask the issuer which condition remains unmet. Keep your offer confirmation, qualifying posted transactions, and support case number. Share account documents only through the issuer’s secure channels.
