How do I earn this bonus?

  1. Use the $400 offer page so its bonus code is applied when opening by October 6, 2026; minimum opening deposit is $25.
  2. Receive at least $1,000 in qualifying electronic deposits within 90 calendar days of opening.
  3. Keep the account open; bonus payment is within 30 calendar days after completing requirements.

What counts—and what doesn’t.

Qualifying activity

  • Posted qualifying income via ACH direct deposit, RTP/FedNow, or specified third-party debit-card-network credits.

Excluded or unsafe to assume

  • Account-to-account transfers, mobile check deposits, Zelle, and branch or ATM deposits. Early Pay Day funds count when posted, not while pending.
The easy-to-miss detail

The $25 opening deposit is separate from the $1,000 qualifying electronic-deposit hurdle.

Who is eligible for this offer?

New consumer checking primary owners only. No Wells Fargo consumer checking bonus in the past 12 months. Employees, specified nonresident/foreign applicants using Form W-8, and Private Bank deposits are excluded.

The primary account owner must meet the new-customer and prior-bonus conditions. Approval is still required.

U.S. offer; confirm availability for your address with the issuer. Bonus qualification does not guarantee account or credit approval.

What fees could reduce the bonus?

$15 monthly fee; waiver options include $500 in qualifying electronic deposits each fee period, a $1,500 minimum daily balance, or other specified balance, age, or military conditions. Bonus requirements and fee waivers are separate.

When does the qualification clock start?

90 calendar days from account opening.

When should the bonus arrive?

Within 30 calendar days after all requirements are met.

A concrete example

Hypothetical: a qualifying $1,000 payroll deposit can meet the amount. A $1,000 mobile-deposited check does not.

Timing and availability

Open by Oct 6, 2026. This is a dated offer snapshot. Confirm that the promotion is still available before opening an account.

Set an early target.

Uses a seven-day buffer. Confirm the exact deadline with your issuer; this tool does not check eligibility.

Your completion checklist.

Keep the official terms and supporting records privately. Checkmarks are your notes, not confirmation from the bank.

Keep the terms with your checklist.

Save the official offer terms and your enrollment confirmation. Record the exact start date, qualifying activity, deadline, and expected payout. Check the issuer’s full account agreement for account-standing, holding-period, and early-closure conditions; this summary does not establish that there are none.

Keep the account open and eligible through payout. Review the full account agreement and promotion for any additional holding or early-closure conditions before closing.

If the bonus does not arrive

Wait through the stated payout window, then ask the issuer which condition remains unmet. Keep your offer confirmation, qualifying posted transactions, and support case number. Share account documents only through the issuer’s secure channels.
